About the origin of green coffee
Our green coffee from Rwanda comes from the Baho Project in Rwanda's eastern province. The Humure Washing Station was completely rebuilt in 2017. The processing station is currently supplied by nearly 1,500 smallholder farmers.
Most farms are smaller than 1 hectare, and processing the coffee cherries requires significant investment. For these reasons, most African countries have central processing stations to which smallholder farmers sell their coffee cherries. Centralizing processing allows for continuous improvement in coffee quality.
