About the origin
A very special coffee awaits you with our new Easter coffee from Costa Rica. Grown on volcanic soils that are particularly fertile and bring a very special coffee to your cup.
You can expect notes of red fruits, carob and a wine-like flavour.
The coffee plants are grown in West Valley on the finca of Alejandro Gonzales Kahle. The Kahle family has been growing coffee since the middle of the 19th century, with the aim of producing the best coffee in the world.
During the preparation process (natural anaerobic), the beans are fermented for 5-7 days at an outside temperature of 15 degrees in the shade of the trees. They are then dried on drying beds for 11-14 days and 8 hours in a large dryer.
